KNaan and Chali 2na… Rifflandia 3!

Rifflandia is shaping up to be a crazy weekend. With hip hop acts, K’Naan,
Chali 2na and Aesop Rock announced, and the potential that K’naan is going
to bring Shad along with him (They’re performing together in Vancouver on the
25th, and K’naan is in Victoria on the 23rd… Not going to start rumors, but it
wouldn’t be totally irrational to think Shad might come out) the traditionally
indie-rock festival is looking like it’s going to have a little something for everyone.
Even without the hip hop acts, the weekend looks insane.

I’m particularly excited for JFK and Longwalkshortdock, because MSTRKRFT rocks,and Longwalkshortdock killed it last year at Lucky. Whether you love hip hop, electronica,indie rock, or dj sets, looks like it’s going to all be there, in ample supply.

Gorillaz to Hit Vancouver November 3

So the Gorillaz are coming to Vancouver on their 2010 Escape to Plastic Beach tour, but they’re not just bringing themselves. Along with a long list of other collaborators they’re bringing along, they have announced N.E.R.D. and De La Soul, which should be awesome. The show promises to be an action packed multi-media, multi-demensional and multi-musicianed masterpiece, in true Gorillaz fashion.
